Janakpurdham. The Infrastructure Development Office Janakpurdham has reported progress in road infrastructure in the last fiscal year 2082/83. According to the office, 57 kilometers of road were paved and 22 culverts were constructed in various places in Dhanusha during that period. Similarly, 22.5 kilometers of road were gravelled and 1 kilometer of road was blacktopped, informed Office Chief Sanjeev Kumar Sah. According to him, road maintenance work of seven kilometers was also completed during the same period. He stated that the BP Smriti Sabhagriha in Janakpurdham and the Yoganarayan Smriti Sabhagriha in Sallaia were completed in the fiscal year 2082/83 after continuous initiatives and efforts. He also informed that 22 community buildings and two assembly halls were constructed in various places in Dhanusha during that period. The office stated that most of the 32 multi-year projects operated by the Madhesh Province Government in Dhanusha are in the final stages. According to Office Chief Sah, the 'One Constituency Road Program' operated under the multi-year project is also in its final stages. Under this program, there is a plan to construct and blacktop five kilometers of road in each constituency. Meanwhile, Office Chief Sah stated that the construction of a bridge over the Jalad River in Janakpurdham Metropolitan City-1 and the blacktopping of the road from Bhiman to Mahangachhi-Kishannpur in Dhanusha have been completed under the multi-year project. Under the Janata Awas Program, 638 out of 796 houses operated in Dhanusha and Mahottari have been completed. The remaining houses are stalled due to ongoing court cases, informed Chief Sah. Similarly, under the Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Vipanna Awas Yojana in Dhanusha, construction of 71 out of 105 houses has been completed. The remaining 34 houses are under construction, according to Chief Sah. Under the Vipanna Sangha Madan Bhandari Vipanna Awas Yojana, construction of 29 out of 55 houses in Dhanusha has been completed, and the remaining are under construction, said Chief Sah.
