Government Unveils Winners of Taxpayer Incentive Scheme: Rs 1 Million Bumper Prize Claimed on Rs 250 Purchase

Kathmandu. The government has officially announced the winners of the first bumper prize under its Taxpayer Incentive Gift Program, an initiative launched by the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) to promote financial transparency, encourage consumers to request official bills, and reward tax-paying citizens.

According to the Inland Revenue Office, the initial phase targeted consumers who made purchases between 17 July and 16 August. The draw produced 15 daily winners of Rs 100,000 each, alongside a single winner who secured the program's top bumper prize of Rs 1,000,000.
