MP Harkaraj Rai Proposes 50,000 Rupees Contribution from Each MP's Salary for Disaster Victims

Kathmandu. Labor Culture Party's parliamentary party leader Harkaraj Rai has put forward a special proposal that all MPs should contribute 50/50 thousand rupees from their salaries to help the victims of natural disasters and various accidents happening in the country.

Speaking during a special time in the House of Representatives meeting on Friday, MP Rai made this proposal saying that elected representatives should be companions in the suffering of the citizens. Mentioning that many citizens have lost their lives and suffered huge losses of life and property due to natural disasters like floods and landslides and road accidents in various parts of the country recently, he said that MPs themselves should take the initiative for relief.
