Elderly Couple Missing After Jumping into Sun Koshi River

Kavrepalanchok. The search for the Parajuli couple, who went missing after jumping into the Sun Koshi River near Dulaleshwor Mahadev Temple in Bhumlhu Rural Municipality-8 of Kavrepalanchok, is ongoing on the second day. The Chief District Officer Gopal Kumar Adhikari, along with the chiefs of Nepal Police, Armed Police, and other security agencies, are present at the scene for the search of the missing couple. The couple, 68-year-old Kedarnath Parajuli and his 67-year-old wife Tilkumari Parajuli, residents of Mandandeupur Municipality-7, went missing after jumping into the Sun Koshi River around 6:30 PM on Wednesday. Despite search operations conducted by Nepal Police, Armed Police, and local residents after the incident, they were not found, leading to the deployment of additional security teams, according to the police. Currently, the Armed Police are continuing the search in the river area using raft boats and drone cameras. Further investigation into the cause of the incident is also underway, the police stated.
