Supreme Court Allows Review of Nepali Congress Leadership Dispute

Kathmandu. With the Supreme Court allowing (issuing a notice for) review in the dispute related to the authenticity of the Nepali Congress, questions have arisen over the legal recognition received by the leadership of Gagan Thapa. The full bench of Chief Justice Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma and Justices Nityanand Pandey and Srikanth Poudel on Thursday allowed a review on the petitions of Sher Bahadur Deuba and Purna Bahadur Khadka.

The full bench has revived the case, pointing out a 'serious legal error' in the previous verdict, which has created a new stir in Nepali Congress politics.
