Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay and Wife Sangeetha Withdraw Divorce Case

Tamil Nadu. The divorce case between Chief Minister and actor Thalapathy Vijay of Tamil Nadu and his wife Sangeetha, which was ongoing in court, has ended. According to some reports, Sangeetha has withdrawn the divorce petition filed in the Chengalpattu District Court of Tamil Nadu. Sangeetha had claimed that Vijay had an extramarital affair with an actress and that she was emotionally hurt by it. For a long time, Vijay's name has been linked with actress Trisha. Although they have been seen together at many events, neither has responded about the affair. Vijay, who started politics from the 2026 Tamil Nadu elections, has become the Chief Minister of the state. Sangeetha was not present at his swearing-in ceremony. Vijay and Sangeetha's marriage was a love marriage. Sangeetha, of Sri Lankan origin, grew up in Britain. Her father is a businessman in Britain. Sangeetha, who was a fan of Vijay, came to India after his film 'Poove Unnakkaaga' was released in 1990. After frequent meetings, Vijay invited her to his home for a meal and proposed marriage. They were married in 1999. The couple has one son and one daughter.
