FIFA President Infantino Faces Scrutiny Over Alleged Payment to Girlfriend

London. A matter of FIFA's current president Gianni Infantino allegedly giving money to his girlfriend during his time as UEFA general secretary has become public. This report, based on an investigation by 'Daily Telegraph', has put Infantino under further pressure. Infantino's spokesperson, however, has denied these allegations as completely false.

Infantino was the general secretary of UEFA from 2009 to 2016. The Telegraph has reported that during that time, the woman in a relationship with the married Infantino was paid a large sum of six figures by UEFA.
