Karate Team Eyes Success at 20th Asian Games

Kathmandu. Karate, which has been delivering excellent results in Nepali sports recently, is being seen as a sport with high expectations at the upcoming 20th Asian Games. It is natural to have expectations from karate as it won a historic medal in the last edition and has been achieving one success after another recently. In the 19th Asian Games, Nepal's Erika Gurung won a historic silver medal.

Nepal has set a target of achieving good results in both Kumite and Kata at the upcoming Asian Games starting in Japan on September 19. National Karate Team's Kata Coach Mandekaji Shrestha says that Nepal will challenge in two events in Kata: women's team Kata and individual Kata.
