Tanahun District Administration Office Provides Services on Public Holidays

Damauli. Generally, services are not provided in government offices on public holidays. However, the District Administration Office, Tanahun, has started providing services even on holidays, considering the increasing demand for National Identity Cards. The District Administration Office stated that this has been implemented to make it easier for service recipients who are busy with school, college, and other work during regular office hours to receive services on holidays.

Apeksha Sunar, a resident of Byas Municipality-2, said that she is one of the service recipients who directly benefited from receiving services on a holiday. She, who is studying in class 11 at Satya-vati Secondary School, had difficulty going to the administration office to get a National Identity Card on days when school was in session. As her studies would be affected, she took advantage of the holiday. The administration office provided services related to National Identity Cards on Saturdays and Sundays, and she completed the process for her identity card by going to the office on a holiday. "I have to go to school on other days. It became very easy when the office opened and provided services on holidays," she said.
