Trade Deficit at Eastern Border Increases by 40.85%

Jhapa. Along with imports, the trade deficit has also increased in foreign trade through the eastern border Kakarbhitta. According to the data of Mechi Customs Office, the trade deficit increased by 40.85 percent to over Rs 36.38 billion in the fiscal year 2082/83 compared to the fiscal year 2081/82.
In FY 2081/82, the trade deficit through the Kakarbhitta border was Rs 25.83 billion 10.64 million, while in the same period of FY 2082/83, it increased by Rs 10.55 billion 19.78 million to Rs 36.38 billion 30.42 million.
