Three Arrested in Kathmandu for Illegal Online Betting and Cryptocurrency Transactions

Kathmandu. Three people have been arrested by the police on charges of being involved in illegal online betting and virtual currency (cryptocurrency) transactions from the Baneshwor area of Kathmandu.

A special police team from the District Police Range Kathmandu apprehended them on the night of July 21 around 9 PM while they were found in a suspicious state, and the illegal transaction came to light during a check. The arrested individuals are 30-year-old Nabin Poudel, a resident of Baneshwor, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10, originally from Banganga Municipality-06, Kapilvastu district, 19-year-old Rahul Belbase, and 28-year-old Rabin Belbase, both from the same locality. The police also recovered five mobile phones from their possession.
