Nocha Pokhari Becomes Hub for Immoral Activities Despite Beautification

Janakpurdham. Historically, religiously, and culturally, Janakpurdham, the land of Mithila, is considered very rich in itself. At one time, this city was known by the name '52 Kuti, 72 Kund'.

But now that epithet is limited to the name only. Now this city has neither 52 kuti nor 72 kund. Some have lost their existence, while some are waiting for conservation. On the other hand, places that have received conservation and promotion and have identified themselves as tourist destinations are becoming dens of immoral activities. The famous destination 'Nocha Pokhari' within Janakpur is one such example.
