Kathmandu. The University Grants Commission has issued the 'Academic Credit Bank Establishment and Operation Directive, 2082' with the aim of making Nepal's higher education system more flexible, modern, and student-friendly. The Commission has issued the directive with the objective of promoting student mobility and continuity in higher education by accumulating and transferring academic credits earned by students studying within and outside the country.
Now, if a student has to return to Nepal from abroad during their studies, they can continue their studies at a university in Nepal. The Commission has prepared a directive that allows for easy credit transfer for studies at any university in Nepal. The directive also ensures that a student's credits will be safe if they have to go abroad during their studies. The concept of 'Credit Bank' has been implemented with the aim of enabling students who have suspended their studies to go abroad to easily complete their studies upon their return.
