Jhapa Revenue Office Collects NPR 4.93 Billion in Past Fiscal Year

Jhapa. The Internal Revenue Office Jhapa has collected revenue of NPR 4.93 billion in the last fiscal year. The office had a target of collecting NPR 6.06 billion in revenue. Approximately 81.31 percent of the target was achieved in revenue collection.

According to the office's Information Officer Dilliram Chaulagai, among the collected revenue, income tax amounted to NPR 2.41 billion, Value Added Tax (VAT) to NPR 1.66 billion, and excise duty to NPR 670 million. Similarly, revenue from rent income tax was NPR 56 million, interest tax was NPR 93 million, and revenue from other headings was NPR 26 million, the office stated. The working area of the office includes Ilam, Panchthar, and Taplejung.
