Kanti Highway Upgrade Intensifies for Shorter Kathmandu-Hetauda Route

Kathmandu. The upgrade work of Kanti Highway, which is the shortest route connecting the federal capital Kathmandu with Hetauda, has gained momentum.
The Kanti Highway Road Project has divided the work into three sections for widening the highway, cutting, and improving curves, and is moving forward with the construction process. The total length of this highway is 80 kilometers. Of the road stretching from Buddha Chowk in Hetauda to Ekantakuna in Lalitpur, 50 kilometers fall in the Makwanpur section and 30 kilometers in the Lalitpur section. According to project engineer Upendra Maharana, the upgrade work of the 21-kilometer section from Lele in Lalitpur to Bakaiya in Makwanpur is currently underway.
