Over 20,000 Monkeys Found in Lumbini Province Study

Butwal. A study conducted in 44 rural municipalities of Lumbini Province has found more than 20,000 monkeys. The study led by Professor Dr. Hari Sharma of the Central Department of Zoology, Tribhuvan University, revealed that three species of monkeys are found in various areas of the province.
Professor Dr. Sharma said that during the study, red monkeys, toque monkeys, and langur monkeys were found. The study found that red monkeys cause the most trouble for farmers.
