MP Hari Dhakal Proposes Renaming Singha Durbar

Kathmandu. The Chairman of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee and Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Hari Dhakal has stated that the country's main administrative center 'Singha Durbar' should be renamed.

Speaking at a program organized in Lalitpur on Sunday, Dhakal questioned why the name of Singha Durbar remained unchanged while the names of various places and airports in the country were changed after the political transformation. He argued about the relevance of the name 'Singha Durbar', mentioning that lions are not found in Nepal.
