National Planning Commission Vice Chairman Dr. Gunakar Bhatta Emphasizes Policy Intervention and Investment for High Economic Growth

Kathmandu. National Planning Commission Vice Chairman Dr. Gunakar Bhatta has stated that Nepal needs to pursue policy intervention and investment expansion simultaneously to achieve high economic growth. Speaking at a program in Lalitpur on Sunday, he mentioned that high economic growth was achieved in the past due to policy intervention and investment expansion.

Noting that Nepal's long-term economic growth rate has averaged around 4 percent, he said that economic growth reached up to 7 percent in some years due to policy intervention and investment expansion. He emphasized that investment expansion, policy intervention, and policy reform are still necessary.
