Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has said that the current situation has arisen because the then leadership did not listen when informed about dissatisfaction with the party and government's working style. Starting the central working committee meeting at the party's central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur, Thapa said that the current movement happened because the then leadership did not listen when he commented that the way of working was not right.
Thapa said, “Work is not starting properly. Neither the pace of work is right, nor is the intention of work right. Citizens had very high expectations from us, but those expectations could not be fulfilled.” He reiterated his statement made in the House of Representatives meeting on Bhadra 8, saying, “The then party and government leadership did not listen to that matter, which led to the current situation. The state had to bear losses due to the movement.” He stated that the current situation has arisen because the leadership ignored the dissatisfaction within the party among the youth (Gen Z) and the general public.
