Incomplete Kutameshwori Bridge Causes Hardship for Locals and Travelers

Mahottari. Locals and travelers are forced to travel with hardship due to the under-construction Kutameshwori bridge in Parsa, Mahottari Rural Municipality-1, which falls on the Janakpur-Bhiththamod road section under the Hulaki Highway. While most of the road has been constructed, the bridge has remained incomplete for a long time.

This forces local residents, students, farmers, and travelers to endure daily hardship and undertake risky journeys. Most sections of the Hulaki Highway, constructed with the objective of facilitating trade with India, religious tourism, and local movement, have been completed. However, locals say that traffic is becoming increasingly risky due to delays in the construction of the Bigahi River bridge.
