Healthcare Workers Attacked at Palanta Hospital

It is our primary duty as healthcare workers to reach remote villages and work day and night for the protection of citizens' health. I was always dedicated and proud of my profession while serving at Palanta Hospital in the remote region of Kalikot. However, the inhumane, barbaric, and violent incident that occurred to me and my colleagues on the hospital premises last Friday afternoon has left me shattered not only physically but also mentally.

It was Friday afternoon. I, the doctor, and other colleagues were in the office. OPD service was continuously running. We were busy examining and treating patients, including those who had come with great difficulty from Bajura and local Palanta residents.
