Prachanda Draws Govt's Attention to Severe Chemical Fertilizer Shortage

Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has drawn the government’s serious attention to the severe shortage of chemical fertilizers seen in the Madhesh and various other parts of the country. Stating that farmers are in great trouble due to not being able to easily get fertilizer even after the paddy plantation is over, he has demanded that the government ensure the supply of fertilizer immediately.

He wrote on social media Facebook on Monday - ‘Although the government has committed to providing an adequate supply of chemical fertilizers on time, the supply has not been easy in practice. Along with this, complaints are coming in widely that even the available fertilizer is not reaching the farmers equitably due to black marketing and middlemen.’
