Tribhuvan University Vice Chancellor Urged to Implement Academic Calendar

Kathmandu. Students have demanded that Tribhuvan University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa implement student admissions, examinations, and result publication within the stipulated time. In a memorandum submitted today, Monday, the All Nepal National Free Students' Union (ANNFSU), affiliated with the CPN-UML, demanded the full implementation of the academic calendar and the publication of student admissions, examinations, and results within the specified time. The memorandum was submitted by a team led by Hikmat Kumar Buda, coordinator of the ANNFSU Tribhuvan University District Committee. The 33-point demand charter includes ensuring that examination centers for all levels of Tribhuvan University are mandatorily determined only in constituent and community campuses, and that results for subjects with less than 1,000 students must be published within 30 days, while results for subjects with more than 10,000 students must be published within 60 days.
The demand letter also includes calls for scientific and transparent regulation of fees in private and constituent campuses, a system for paying fees in installments, and decentralization of the thesis evaluation system.
