OpenAI Removes Text Chat Limits on ChatGPT, Rolls Out GPT-5.6 Luna and New Think Features

Kathmandu. OpenAI has announced major changes to ChatGPT, including the removal of limitations on text-based chats for users. The update comes as ChatGPT surpasses 1 billion weekly active users.

Under the new update, GPT-5.6 Luna will become the default model for Free and Go users, replacing GPT-5.5. Free users will also gain access to the new Think button, which allows them to select a higher level of reasoning when working on complex questions.
