Science Minister Mahabir Pun Proposes 55-Year Age Limit for National Forensic Science Laboratory Executive Chief

Kathmandu. Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Mahabir Pun has proposed a 55-year age limit for the executive chief of the National Forensic Science Laboratory. He made this proposal on Monday during the discussion on the 'National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081' in the meeting of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee under the House of Representatives.

Minister Pun argued that the youth generation is more skilled and energetic in the field of innovation and technology, hence the executive leadership should prioritize the youth. However, he clarified that he would be flexible if the age limit had to be maintained at 60 years due to legal complexities.
