Man Arrested Over AI-Generated Image Targeting Dharan Deputy Mayor Released After Reconciliation

Kathmandu. Tek Bahadur Magar, also known as ‘Manu Pitha’, who was arrested on charges of character assassination after sharing an AI-generated image targeting Dharan deputy mayor Aindra Bikram Begha, was released on Monday following reconciliation between the two sides.

According to the Dharan Area Police Office, Magar had created and shared an AI-generated image that appeared to show acting mayor Begha hitting Harka Sampang with a chair.
