Kathmandu. Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), Nepal MP Mahanta Thakur has expressed concern over the growing religious intolerance in society, emphasizing the need for a strong legal and moral basis to maintain social harmony. He expressed this view while speaking on the discussion regarding 'National Morality Policy, 2083' in the meeting of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the Federal Parliament on Monday.
He mentioned that in Nepal's diverse society, the religious activities or slogans of one community often become uncomfortable for another community. Arguing that disputes arise in the name of religion due to a lack of human morality, he said that morality should be sought in quarrels that happen in the name of God.
