Sudurpaschim Government Expansion Expected Within Days, Says Leader

Dhangadhi. Khagraj Bhatta, leader of the CPN parliamentary party and contender for Chief Minister, stated that Sudurpaschim will not have to wait as long for cabinet expansion as Karnali did. He claimed that the cabinet would be finalized within a day or two of the government being formed, if not on the same day. Bhatta said that positive discussions are ongoing among the ruling coalition partners regarding the distribution of ministries and the selection of ministers as preparations for forming a new government in Sudurpaschim are underway. According to him, preparations are being made to complete the cabinet along with the formation of the government, and the discussion on the names of those who will become ministers has reached the final stage. 'The cabinet expansion will not take as long as in Karnali. We will complete the cabinet on the same day or within one to two days,' Bhatta said. He stated that after the formation of the new government, there will be no situation of keeping ministries vacant for a long time or delaying the operation of the government. His statement indicated that preparations are being made to immediately activate the government's work by ending the budget vacuum in the province. 'We are preparing to form the government positively and move forward with work accordingly. Our priority is to make the budget vacuum active,' Bhatta said. According to the agreement at the center, the CPN is preparing to lead the Sudurpaschim Province government. Accordingly, Bhatta is preparing to become the Chief Minister. It is said that after the current Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah resigns, the Province Chief will call for the formation of a new government, and then the process of forming a new government will move forward with the cooperation of the CPN and UML. Chief Minister Shah is likely to resign on Wednesday.
