Philippines Government Reports 19 Deaths Due to Tropical Cyclones and Heavy Rains

Kathmandu. The Philippine government said on Tuesday that 19 people have died and 15 others have been injured due to tropical cyclones Luis and Meme, as well as heavy rains caused by the monsoon in the southwest region. According to the government, four people are still missing.

The Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said that casualties have occurred in various places due to landslides caused by heavy rains that occurred on Tuesday. According to NDRRMC, 12 people died in Benguet province, four in Rizal, and three in Batangas.
