World Elephant Day Celebrated in Nepal with Focus on Conservation and Corridor Protection

Kathmandu. Today is World Elephant Day, and in Nepal too, this day is being celebrated with emphasis on wildlife elephant conservation, human-elephant conflict mitigation, and conservation of elephants' natural migration routes.

This year, the main message of World Elephant Day is "Safe and Eco-friendly Corridors, Safe Elephants". It emphasizes the need to protect natural migration routes, or corridors, that connect forests, along with forest conservation for elephant conservation.
