Former Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula Calls Lack of Quorum in Parliament a 'Parliamentary Shame'

Kathmandu. Former Chief Whip of CPN-UML, Mahesh Bartaula, has stated that the lack of quorum in parliamentary meetings within four months is a matter of parliamentary shame.

He says – 'The situation where the meeting of the House of Representatives has to be stopped due to lack of quorum in the parliament meeting within four months of the commencement of the term of the newly elected parliament exposes the indifference and irresponsibility of the MPs towards parliamentary proceedings. This is not a happy sign either.'
