Kathmandu. The 'Medical Education Struggle Campaign' has announced nationwide phased protest programs against the corruption and irregularities rampant in the medical education and health sector. The campaign has objected to the Private Medical College Association's demand for seat and fee hikes, which has led to the withholding of regular salaries for resident and intern doctors.
In the first phase, PG and intern doctors have announced a pen-down starting today, Wednesday, after 1 PM. The campaign concludes that college operators are trying to create illegal and unscientific pressure on the state by forcing doctors and health workers to protest.
