Madhesh Province Boosts Power Infrastructure with New Transmission Lines and Substations

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation has intensified the construction and preparation of transmission line and substation projects with high priority to address the growing electricity demand in Madhesh Province, weak distribution infrastructure, and the challenge of electricity supply in industrial areas.

The ministry has strategically advanced the expansion of transmission infrastructure not only to meet the immediate electricity demand but also to accommodate the additional demand from industries, businesses, and domestic consumers in the coming days. The addition of new transmission lines and substations in Madhesh Province is expected to improve the quality and reliability of electricity, as well as create the necessary energy infrastructure for industrial expansion. The ministry has been regularly monitoring, coordinating, and facilitating to ensure that the ongoing projects are completed within the stipulated time.
