Scam Exposed: Kathmandu Man Loses Rs 23.78 Lakh After Being Lured With IKEA Job on Telegram

Kathmandu. Suraj Chaulagai (name changed), a Kathmandu native with a postgraduate degree in management (MBS), never imagined that a Telegram message offering him a job at Swedish furniture giant IKEA would leave him facing a financial loss of Rs 23.78 lakh.

The message promised a monthly salary of Rs 50,000 along with attractive bonuses and commissions. However, what appeared to be a lucrative employment opportunity turned out to be a digital scam. The case has now reached the Kathmandu District Court, with the District Government Attorney's Office filing a charge sheet against three individuals accused of helping carry out the fraud.
