Sashastra Police Chief Denies Irregularities in Uniform Procurement

Kathmandu. Inspector General of the Armed Police Force, Nepal, Narayan Dutt Paudel has clarified that the organization has no involvement in the procurement of uniforms for election police. Speaking at a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee of the Federal Parliament on Wednesday, Inspector General Paudel stated that there is no possibility of irregularities as the uniform expenses for the manpower recruited for the election were sent directly to their bank accounts.

According to Inspector General Paudel, the Armed Police Force had received the mandate to select 15,000 election police (temporary) in addition to 36,900 regular manpower for the upcoming election to be held on Falgun 21, 2082.
