MP Khagendra Sunar Demands Probe into Irregularities in Nepal Police Uniform Procurement

Kathmandu. Ruling party lawmaker Khagendra Sunar has demanded the formation of an immediate investigation committee, citing irregularities in the purchase of shoes, socks, clothes, etc., by the Nepal Police in the last election.

Speaking at the Public Accounts Committee meeting on Wednesday, lawmaker Sunar stated that an investigation cannot be conducted while the person accused, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), remains in office. 'An investigation committee must be formed immediately, the accused individuals must be removed from their responsibilities, and the investigation must be conducted impartially,' said Sunar.
