Foreign Minister Khanal Highlights Global Challenges to Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development

Kathmandu. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has stated that disruptions in the global energy and supply system have created serious challenges in poverty alleviation and achieving sustainable development goals.

Addressing the special meeting of the Economic and Social Council held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York virtually, he said that diplomatic dialogue is essential to resolve mutual differences and ensure global peace, stability, and peaceful coexistence. He stated the need to strengthen multilateralism and global cooperation based on the UN Charter and international law.
