Koshi Province Spends 36% of Budget in 10 Months

Biratnagar. Koshi Province government has been able to spend only about 36 percent of the total budget in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year 2082/83. According to the data of the Province Treasury Comptroller's Office, with only two months left until the end of the fiscal year, the government still has 63.71 percent of the budget to spend.

The provincial government had announced a budget of Rs 36 billion 2 crore 2 lakh for the current fiscal year. As per the details until the end of Baisakh, the government has spent only Rs 13 billion 7 crore 10 lakh 11 thousand 121. Now, if the government is to meet its target in the months of Jestha and Ashad, it will have to spend Rs 22 billion 94 crore 91 lakh 88 thousand 878.
