Home Minister Sudhan Gurung Expresses Dissatisfaction Over IGP Dan Bahadur Karki's Treatment

Kathmandu. Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has expressed dissatisfaction over the treatment of IGP Dan Bahadur Karki in the Public Accounts Committee under the House of Representatives. Gurung stated that his and the ministry's attention has been drawn to the exchange of questions between IGP Karki and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Khagendra Sunar on Shrawan 27. Speaking at a meeting of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee of the parliament on Friday, Gurung expressed dissatisfaction over the incident, saying, “This is not right, this is not good.”

Gurung stated that we should not become judges based on complaints and that no one's character should be assassinated just because an accusation is made. He said, “We have drawn attention to how the police chiefs were presented in the committee; we cannot become judges based on complaints.”
