Two Boys Missing After Being Swept Away by Vijaypur River in Pokhara

Kaski. Two boys have gone missing after being swept away by the Vijaypur river in Pokhara this afternoon. Two boys, whose names and addresses are unknown, aged approximately 14/15 years, were swept away by the river near Bhagwati Hydropower while crossing the Vijaypur river from Vijaybasti of Pokhara-14 towards Sakineer of Pokhara-26, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Kumar Paswan of the District Police Office. According to him, out of a group of 10 boys, 8 managed to cross the river while two were swept away, and upon receiving the information, a search has now begun. "We are currently engaged in search and rescue. The initial information is that two people were swept away while crossing the river together in a group," said Deputy Superintendent of Police Paswan. Following the incident, 21 police personnel from the Area Police Office Shisuwa, District Police Office, and Ward Police Office Rambazaar have been deployed for the search. Similarly, a team of 9 personnel from the Armed Police Basecamp Kundahar has also been mobilized for the search, the police stated. Further details of the incident are yet to come.
