Indonesia Earthquake: Rescuers Search for Survivors Amidst Rubble and Landslides

INDONESIA. A day after a powerful earthquake struck the eastern region of Indonesia, rescuers on Sunday intensified their search for people buried under debris and landslides.

At least 47 people have died and more than 100 have been injured in the earthquake, while thousands have been displaced. According to the National Disaster Management Agency, 24 deaths occurred in the Manggari area and 17 in East Manggari. Human casualties have also been reported in the Sikka, Ngada, and Ende regions.
