Medical Education Commission Directs Institutions to Implement Fees as per National Medical Education Act, 2075

Kathmandu. The Medical Education Commission has once again directed universities, institutes, and educational institutions across the country to implement teaching fees strictly in accordance with the provisions of the National Medical Education Act, 2075. As per Section 2(tha) of the Medical Education Act, 'teaching fee' is legally defined to include admission, teaching, lab, library, community training, or examination fees payable during the study period, as well as other fees collected with the approval of the Commission.
To ensure the effective implementation of these legal provisions, the Commission, from Sano Thimi, Bhaktapur, has sent letters to universities and educational institutions, drawing their attention to collect only the fees stipulated by the Act and regulations.
