Kathmandu. CPN-UML MP Yashoda Baral has objected to the government discriminating between ministers and ordinary citizens in treatment. In the emergency time of Monday's meeting of the House of Representatives, MP Baral criticized the government, stating that when ministers fall ill, helicopters reach them immediately, but poor people cannot even get a stretcher at the hospital.
MP Baral questioned the government's working style by connecting it to the incident on Sunday where the Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Sunil Lamsal, was rescued by helicopter when he fell ill. "Helicopters reach when ministers fall ill, but people don't even get stretchers at the hospital," she said, "I am not saying that the Minister of Physical Infrastructure should not be rescued by helicopter, but the government should treat everyone equally. All patients should receive timely treatment."
