Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Yadav Demands Increased Minimum Support Price for Paddy

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Purushottam Yadav has demanded an increase in the minimum support price for paddy. Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Monday, he demanded that the minimum support price for Basmati paddy produced in the Terai be set at Rs 10,000 per quintal and for Bagaliya paddy at least Rs 5,000 per quintal.

He drew the government's attention to fixing a proper support price for other varieties of paddy as well. MP Yadav urged the government to easily provide necessary materials for agricultural production, stating that farmers are facing a shortage of fertilizer, seeds, and irrigation.
