Iran Says 60-Day Nuclear Talks Period No Longer Relevant

Tehran. Iran has said that the 60-day negotiation period mentioned in the understanding reached between America and Iran is no longer relevant, accusing America of seriously violating the understanding within a few weeks of its signing.
Responding to the expiry of the 60-day period on Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghai said that Iran does not set its policy based on external pressure, ultimatums, or deadlines. According to him, the understanding included provisions for lifting sanctions and discussing nuclear issues within 60 days, with the possibility of extending the period if no agreement was reached.
