Gujarat failed to chase the massive target of 248 runs set by Kolkata with the help of explosive half-centuries from Finn Allen and Angkrish Raghuvanshi. With this defeat, Gujarat has missed a golden opportunity to climb to the top of the points table.

Batting first, Kolkata had posted a massive total of 247 runs, losing only 2 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Opener Finn Allen played a stormy innings of 93 runs in just 35 balls for Kolkata. He was excellently supported by Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who scored an unbeaten 82. In the end, Cameron Green also added an unbeaten 52 off just 28 balls, helping Kolkata build a strong score.
