Indian Border Force Hinders Road Construction in Nepal

Mahendranagar. Buddhiraj Chaudhary, a resident of Pachui in Belauri Municipality-8, Kanchanpur, has been living here for more than five decades. He is not satisfied as officials of the Indian Border Security Force have started obstructing the graveling of a 1,400-meter road in the Pachui village of the Dokebazar-Daiji Hulaki road section.

In February 2073 BS, the 64-kilometer Hulaki road from Dokebazar to Daiji in Bedkot Municipality was contracted in three packages. In Pachui, which falls in the middle package (second package), Indian security personnel have been obstructing construction, claiming the section falls on the Nepal-India border at the no-man's-land.
