Ukraine's Patriot Missile System Faces Critical Shortage of Interceptors

One of Ukraine's most important air defense systems in the war with Russia, the American-made 'Patriot' missile system, is currently in serious crisis. Ukraine's interceptor missiles, used to stop Russian ballistic missiles, are almost depleted. As a result, some Patriot launchers have been left empty in the field, unusable even at critical times.

CNN was first granted direct access to a Patriot system deployed inside Ukraine by Ukrainian officials. CNN reported that the model of the system and its exact location were not disclosed due to security sensitivities. However, the media team present saw all 16 tubes of the Patriot launcher empty.
