Congress MP Renuka Kaucha Objects to PUBG Esports Team's Removal from Asian Games

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Member of Parliament Renuka Kaucha has strongly objected to the National Sports Council removing the Nepali PUBG esports team, which had already qualified for the 20th Asian Games (Asiad), from the list. Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday, MP Kaucha said it is unfortunate that young players are falling victim to administrative hassles and irresponsibility of bodies, even when the country has a young Prime Minister and a young Education Minister. She mentioned that she was shocked by the news that the PUBG team, which successfully passed the qualifying competition held in Vietnam and secured a place in the Asiad, was removed by Rakhep's latest decision. 'Young, talented players who came close to winning a medal in the previous edition, made history, and are practicing day and night with a firm determination to win a medal for the country this time, are suffering today due to administrative இழுபறி,' Kaucha said. She stated that due to the dispute between two e-sports associations and the irresponsible policy of sports bodies, the players are now forced to leave their practice and knock on the doors of the court. She added, 'The hard work, sweat, and honor of the country of the youth cannot be played with like this. Players should not be punished for the dispute between two associations.' MP Kaucha, drawing the attention of the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Council through the respected house, demanded that an environment be created for the PUBG team, which has already qualified, to participate in the Asiad immediately.
