Nepali Congress 15th General Convention Faces Uncertainty Amidst Delayed Schedule and Unresolved Membership Issues

Kathmandu. The 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress is facing uncertainty about being held on schedule as the initial timetable has started to be affected. The postponement of the ward convention, which was scheduled to begin on Bhadra 2, and the failure to finalize the active membership have raised questions about the future of the general convention.

Party President Gagan Thapa had announced the postponement of ward conventions across the country on Bhadra 1 during a central working committee meeting. However, the party has not yet made any concrete decision on when the new dates will be. According to spokesperson Devraj Chalise, the center has not set a new date. Spokesperson Chalise informed Ratopati that election officers at the local level will set the date for the convention based on natural disasters and weather conditions.
